Hi there! My name is Jordyn Garca and I am a 22-year-old portrait photographer from Grand Prairie, Texas. I recently graduated from The University of Texas at Arlington majoring in  Fine Arts with a concentration in photography and a minor in Museum Studies.  

 

If I am being honest, I did not really start pursuing photography professionally until the 10th grade, but I always had an interest in it and started taking pictures in middle school. I have always found photography as a fun and creative hobby, but I never thought I could turn it into anything more. It wasn’t until I decided to compete with my church in a competition called “Fine Arts” that I decided to let my creativity soar. I was very thankful for the opportunity to win 1st place, Award of Merit for Digital Photography back in 2018 in Houston. Winning first place as a sophomore in high school made me realize the incredible talent I have, which helped me grow in my craft and confidence, and this has helped me become a better person and artist along the way.

 

In the meantime, I do portrait photography, both in the studio and outdoors. I love to work with my clients to create pictures that they can look back on and enjoy for the rest of their lives.
